The City of Jamestown, ND is accepting applications for the position of Wastewater Plant Supervisor. This position performs administrative and supervisory work in the administration of the repair, maintenance and operation of the wastewater treatment facilities. This position performs routine qualitative and quantitative chemical, biochemical and microbiological analysis of water and wastewater for operational control and to determine compliance with various state and federal laws and regulations.

It is preferred that candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with wastewater treatment focus or a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and course work in biochemistry or certified as a Class IV Wastewater Operator. Candidates should have considerable experience in wastewater treatment plant operations including equipment maintenance activities. Candidates must have considerable knowledge of the standard practices, operations, methods, tools and equipment common to wastewater maintenance and repair operations. Candidates must have the ability to supervise personnel and must hold a valid North Dakota drivers license.
