The District is now seeking a Deputy Operating Officer of Watersheds Design and Construction. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of leadership and expertise in the field of watershed design and construction; environmental stewardship; flood protection; or water utility. The annual salary for the Deputy Operating Officer is $168,708-$240,448; placement within this range will be dependent upon qualifications. Candidates should possess a minimum of six (6) years of progressive experience in the management of watersheds design and construction. Candidates must have basic knowledge of civil engineering and environmental sciences. The ideal candidate will have experience in project management, strategic planning, personnel management, and team leadership with at least four to six (4-6) years of supervisory experience. A Bachelor’s degree with major coursework in environmental science, planning, civil engineering, or other related fields is required. Advanced degrees and professional certifications and licenses are highly desirable. Registration as a professional engineering in California is required.
