The Water Practice Seller-Doer position will focus on the expansion of our water practice into new segments such as other industrial areas (e.g. chemical, pulp and paper, food and beverage) and municipal (water and/or wastewater). This position will have technical, managerial, and market access responsibilities to help develop new client work in one or more of these sectors. This position will be based out of the Atlanta, GA area.
Business development: Manage and leverage relationships to position Southern Research for new business opportunities.
Build a team: Attract, develop and retain talented staff to execute projects.
Supervision: Mentors project teams to resolve issues, address project challenges, and maintains high engineering work quality standards.
Project management: Monitor execution of all projects to ensure completion of projects on time and within budget.
Technical: Provide technical expertise and direction in water-related research programs; have technical ability and experience to serve as principal investigator on major water related research projects.
B.S. degree in engineering required.
10 years’ experience with increasing levels of project and client responsibilities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong client management and new business development skills, including demonstrated success developing business in a water practice areas.
Demonstrated technical expertise related to water conservation, reuse, and treatment.
Experience as a manager and/or technical expert in water/wastewater projects in private or public sector.
Must be able to travel 20% of the time
Employer will assist with relocation costs.
