ESG Operations, Inc. currently seeking a qualified and highly motivated Project Manager for our Augusta, Georgia location. This position will manage a multi-discipline team of 30 plus employees providing operations, maintenance, and management of public wastewater facilities, including the 46 MGD J.B Messerly Wastewater Treatment Plant, Industrial Pre-treatment Program, and the environmental lab. The WWTP utilizes a modified Ludwig-Ettinger process, followed by manmade wetlands treatment with anaerobic digestion for solids stabilization. Responsibilities: As part of the ESG Operations team, Project Managers are responsible for:
Manage a multi-discipline work team providing contract operations, maintenance, and management of public wastewater facilities
Analyze operational process control procedures, maintenance procedures, and institute changes when necessary to achieve full compliance with all regulatory agency requirements as defined in the service contract with the client
Maintain accurate operational records and prepare reports required by the client and all regulatory agencies
Inspect facilities, evaluate O&M functions, review records and data, interviews and selects new personnel, and initiates and recommends new or improved methods or practices
Ensure compliance with City, County, State, and Federal regulations and policies
Attend Council meetings and represent the Client and ESG with State and Federal agencies
Qualifications: We are seeking an experienced “hands-on” leader with the following qualifications:
High school diploma, college degree in biology, chemistry, engineering or related field preferred
Valid driver’s license
10 or more years’ experience, at least 5 years in a supervisory or personnel management role
Class 1 Georgia Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator certification (Or ability to obtain within 6 months)
Possess exemplary leadership, communications, and team-building skills
Strong detail-oriented work style
Proven experience in making sound financial, technical, and human resources decisions
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office applications
