PUBLIC WORKS BUSINESS SYSTEMS SUPERVISOR (RC#900796)
(Public Works Department/Water Utilities Division)
This position is assigned to the Water Utilities Division. The position will supervise and coordinate the optimization of the operation and maintenance of public works infrastructure assets through the use of technology and software including a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), Geographic Information System (GIS) and other enterprise computer solutions.
Additional duties may include but are not limited to the following:
Plan, organize and supervise staff in the maintenance and update of infrastructure asset digital records, work order systems, mobile workforce solutions and other enterprise software solutions;
Assist in the development of short- and long-term asset management and capital improvement programs;
Manage database of all infrastructure assets and assist in data collecting, gathering and compiling of asset date to provide reports and to make recommendations for operational and procedural changes;
Provide assistance and training on software solutions within the area of assignment, division and department;
Assist with the preparation of work section budget; monitor, review and control expenditures;
Oversee CMMS and GIS staff;
Evaluate, integrate and update CMMS, GIS mapping, infrastructure inventory, and work order management;
Conduct field inspections and performs condition assessment activities associated with equipment, structures and systems.
SALARY RANGE: $65,854 - $88,903 annually
SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Requires the equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in computer science, public administration, business administration, information technology, engineering, or degree related to the core functions of this position.
The term “equivalent” means that directly related work experience exceeding the required work experience will substitute in equal time increments for college-level education, for example: one year of additional directly related work experience will substitute for one year of college educations (30 credit hours).
Requires three years experience working with software solutions in the areas of maintenance management functions and asset data collection and recording. Requires direct experience utilizing an operational CMMS, GIS mapping software, and other Enterprise software systems based on assignment. One year of lead or supervisory experience is preferred.
Candidates must have the minimum amount of work experience. Education will not substitute for the required work experience; however, related unpaid and/or volunteer work experience may be used as qualifying work experience.
Certifications, Licenses, and/or Registrations:
Must possess a valid Arizona Class D driver’s license.
Successful completion of initial probationary period is contingent upon passing an FBI background investigation. Based on position, referred applicants may be subject to additional testing which may include pre-employment polygraph, physical and drug screening.
