AECOM is seeking a highly talented and innovative Air Quality Manager to lead and further develop our thriving practice in the Morrisville, NC office. Only those candidates meeting the minimum requirement of 8+ years of industrial air quality permitting and compliance experience will be considered for this position. The Morrisville Air Department consists of 20 professionals who work with a wide range of industrial clients throughout the Southeast. Our practice has a strong base of dedicated clients and has earned an excellent reputation with both Industry and state/federal regulators. This is a high visibility / high potential role offering the opportunity to contribute in multiple market sectors and across business lines through integrated project delivery.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Manages and performs project work for key clients
Acts as front line supervisor who manages individual contributors
Responsible for the overall quality of staff's work and oversees projects
Provides leadership, mentorship, training and direction to staff in the department, including performance reviews and career planning
Provides direction to team leaders and project managers within the department to ensure the financial reporting, administrative requirements, and project controls are attained
Tracks financial performance of the department and monitors staff sold time and work backlog
Responsible for compliance within corporate financial control policies
Actively participates in business development activities within the department
Working with the regional business line leader and national teams , driving collaboration across the business to leverage AECOM opportunities and expertise in the region
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
10+ years of relevant professional experience
8+ years dedicated to industrial air quality permitting and compliance
Experience in business development and project management
Ability to become certified under AECOM’s Project Management Certification Program
High level expertise in Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD) permitting, associated Best Available Control Technology analyses, and experience directing numerous projects involving air dispersion modeling
High-level of knowledge and experience with Title V and NSPS
Proficient in the use of computers to preform engineering calculations, spreadsheets, and report writing
Knowledge of air quality regulations/permitting agencies in the vicinity of Virginia, through Atlantic Coast
