Water Services, Kansas City is seeking a senior leader to manage all wastewater treatment operations and maintenance activities and interface with other divisional utility directors. This position is responsible for directing and overseeing all operational and maintenance activities for 6 Wastewater Treatment Plants. Additionally, the incumbent will be responsible for 37 pump stations, 3 facility effluent pump stations and 15 flood management pump stations. Duties include: facilities infrastructure oversight, budget development and tracking, wastewater division contract oversight, store room management, reliability centered maintenance and asset management, facility work control, divisional safety and security, regulatory compliance, staff training and bio solids management for all wastewater treatment plants and a 1350 acre farm used for Biosolids land application.
REQUIRES a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 15 years related experience managing/directing medium to large scale wastewater treatment facilities and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Will be required to obtain a Class A Wastewater Operator Certification issued by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources within 12 months of hire date.
