Assigns responsibility for planning, organization, direction, and supervision and evaluation of individuals and projects directed at operation, maintenance, improvement and expansion of Water, Sewer, Reuse Water, and Utilities Engineering to the residents of the City of Sarasota. Florida Professional Engineer (PE) Preferred.
• Master Degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Public Administration or Civil/Sanitary Engineering. • Florida Professional Engineer (PE) preferred • Ten (10) years practical experience in the field of water supply utility management, utility engineering, and capital improvement construction; five (5) of which are in a supervisory capacity. Practical experience must be supplemented by technical courses in the fields of water supply, sewer facilities, hydraulics, chemistry, administration, etc.; or any equivalent combination of education and experience providing the necessary skills, knowledge and abilities in lieu of educational requirements. • Possession of and ability to maintain a valid State of Florida Driver's License is required.
