Primary Accountability - Responsible for mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance on wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, commercial/domestic water systems, collection systems and related equipment.
Description of Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for the troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of plant and pump station equipment and operational systems, as well as collection systems and equipment:
Performs vehicle inspections and maintains vehicle logs per DOT Regulations,
Troubleshoots and repairs inoperable or malfunctioning equipment,
Tests emergency generators and stand-by equipment,
Reads and calibrates meters, sensors, gauges, etc.,
Performs infra-red temperature testing,
Checks pump and motor alignments,
Completes work order forms at completion of a call-out and submits to lead/manager on a timely basis,
Serves as the primary troubleshooter and repair person on major projects,
Services and performs minor repairs to vehicles, machinery, pump trucks and boom trucks,
Conducts vibration analysis,
Responsible for the efficient electrical and mechanical operations of water and wastewater facilities:
Conducts inspections on plant and pump station mechanical equipment,
Lubricates equipment, changes oil and filters, and makes running repairs and adjustments to machinery and equipment,
Participates in the installation, overhaul and repair of treatment and pumping plant equipment,
Performs monthly meter readings,
Serves as an advisor to other staff members on electrical and mechanical issues:
Assists with the maintenance of equipment repair/replacement,
Provides telephone response to treatment and collection systems operators for troubleshooting prior to onsite response,
Responds to after-hours emergencies related to mechanical/electrical problems.
Possess or able to obtain within 6 months a valid State of Hawaii Driver's License with CDL-B tanker endorsement.
Additional Salary Information: This position is eligible for a 10% annual incentive bonus based on individual and company performance.
