The City of Grand Island, NE is looking for a qualified candidate to fill their Wastewater Plant Laboratory Technician position. The Wastewater Plant Laboratory Technician performs skilled and specialized tasks in the operation of the City's Wastewater Treatment Plant.
Experience and Training:
Two years of experience performing technical laboratory procedures in a health, water or wastewater analysis laboratory, or an appropriate combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
Associate's degree in Science or at a minimum, college courses specifically relating to chemistry, biology and/or microbiology.
License or Certification:
Possession of, or ability to obtain and maintain, an appropriate, valid Nebraska driver's license.
Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Class IV Wastewater Operator's license within 18 months of hire date.
