The City of Vancouver is looking for a Civil Engineer to perform professional engineering, administration and consulting work focusing in the review, design, investigation, and construction of surface water and ground water projects; may provide project support for street, utility, wastewater systems, and other public works areas as needed. Review private developer projects. Prepare plans and specifications, and act as a project manager on assigned projects.
Education and Experience
Equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering or a related field.
Four (4) years of related experience in increasingly responsible professional civil engineering.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. Computer Skills
Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems and AutoCAD
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
Required Licenses and/or Certifications
Possession of a Certification of Registration as a professional engineer in the State of Washington (or ability to obtain reciprocity within one year).
