Our Client, an industry-leading provider of innovative technology services to the communications industry, is currently seeking candidates for an Application Developer role. The Application Developer translates business requirements into commercial grade applications, then deploys and maintains those applications for use by the business. This individual will contribute to projects involving new products, as well as the migration of legacy systems.
Located in the Southpointe area, this Contract-to-Hire role is an excellent opportunity to join a stable, growing company.
Design, build, test, document, and implement new applications using several programming languages and developmental tools.
Consistently commit all code and work products to the appropriate repositories
Support existing applications in use by the business
Provide peer code review
Build and maintain project backlogs as needed
Estimate task completion dates and sprint capacity as part of the sprint planning process
Provide regular updates using agile project management software
Participate in weekly stand up meetings
Provide implementation support to IT Production team, as needed
4 years of experience developing commercial Python 3.x and Ruby on Rails applications
3 years of experience developing with MySQL and PostgreSQL
2 years of experience developing commercial Java 8 and Java 7 applications
2 years of experience working within the Agile project methodology
